Nijo-jo Castle (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1603 as his Kyoto residence. Walk through the huge gardens and visit the beautiful Ninomaru Palace.
Kyoto Gyoen National Garden/Kyoto Imperial Palace: A huge national garden that stretches 1.3 kilometres from north to south and 0.7 kilometres from east to west. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is also located in the National Garden.
