Discover the world of single-origin Sayama Tea, one of Japan's three renowned teas.

  • We will visit Tanaka Seichaen, a long-established tea farm in Iruma City. At the impressive and historic farmhouse, we will participate in a Sayama Tea seminar and a tea-tasting experience.

  • Following the seminar, we will have lunch at the restaurant 'Chadokoro Issen,' located adjacent to the Iruma City Museum ALIT. You can savor Sayama Tea dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Sample menu items include tea croquettes, tea-infused potato salad, sashimi, and savory egg custard., among others.

  • After lunch, we will explore the Iruma City Museum 'ALIT'- Tea Museum, conveniently located next to the restaurant.

  • Tōcha, literally Tea Fighting, is a traditional Japanese Tea Competition dating back 1,200 years, where participants identify types of tea based on taste and aroma. During this experience, Japanese tea experts and instructors will teach you the art of enjoying Japanese tea through Tōcha

  • Sayama Tea is one of Japan's three major tea varieties, celebrated for its delicious flavor, often described as 'capturing the essence of Sayama.' Additionally, Sayama Tea is known for producing a variety of rare 'single-origin' teas. For lunch, you'll have the opportunity to savor Sayama Tea cuisine at the restaurant 'Chadokoro Issen,' conveniently located adjacent to the Iruma City Museum ALIT.
