【Arashiyama】
Arashiyama is notable for its view of cherry blossoms, Autumn leaves and the bridge "Togetsukyo", which spans across Katsura river and one of the landmark of Arashiyama. The most highly recommended spot is the Sagano Bamboo Forest! It is a pleasantly cool 100m long walkway that begins from the side of the world heritage Tenryuji Temple.
【Fushimi Inari Taisha】
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine for some 30,000 Inari shrines across the country. It is especially famous for its seemingly endless vermilion torii (1,000 shrine gates). Since old days, Fushimi-Inari has been well-known as a guardian deity of agriculture. It is also famous for prosperity in business and family security.
【Kiyomizu-dera （UNESCO World Cultural Heritage）】
The proverb "to jump off the stage at Kiyomizu" that is the Japanese equivalent of the English expression "to take the plunge", is derived from Kiyomizu-dera.The Main Hall has a large wooden stage that juts out over the hillside, it was built without using a single nail and is supported by 139 pillars. The view of the city of Kyoto from this Kiyomizu Stage is magnificent.
【Sagano Torokko Train】
The Sagano Train is famous for the scenery along the ride. You can experience each season's beautiful view from Spring's cherry blossoms to Summer's new green leaves and orange tinted Autumn.
