Kimono Rental
・After changing into a kimono at the Yumeyakata Gojo shop, please use public transportation to travel to the Yumeyakata Oike Bettei shop on your own.
 The cost of transportation is not included in the fee.
・Please return the entire rental attire set by 17:30 to the Yumeyakata Gojo shop on the same day.

■From Kyoto station -JR or Kintetsu line-
【by taxi】Take taxi from JR Kyoto Station to the Eastern North of Gojo of Takakura St. Station for about 5 minutes.
【by Subway】Take Subway Karasuma Line to Gojo Station, 3 minutes from No.1 Exit to the east on foot
【by City Bus】Get off at Gojo Karasuma Bus Stop. (No.5/26/80/101)


■Keihan Railway
Take a Keihan train to Kiyomizu Gojo Station and walk 8 minutes from No.3 Exit to the west.


■By car
※We do not have a parking place but there are some coin-operated parking nearby. However, the parking spaces are limited as those are all private-own.

Basic Itinerary

[①Kimono Rental]
Meeting Point: Yumeyakata Gojo shop

※At Yumeyakata Gojo shop, after selecting and dressing in your kimono, please proceed to Yumeyakata Oikebettei(Tea house) by taxi or subway.


[②Tea Ceremony]

1.Experience the Japanese Tea Master's Way of Tea
 You can observe Japanese Tea ceremony led by Tea Master up close. Moreover, through the Tea Master's explanations on the history and meaning of Tea ceremony,
  as well as descriptions of each utensil, you can achieve a deeper understanding of the Japanese Tea ceremony.
 You will have time to discuss impressions, emotions, questions, and more with fellow participants while experiencing the traditional Tea ceremony.

2.Learn traditional manners in the tea room
 You will have the opportunity to directly experience basic etiquette required in the Way of Tea, the spirit of Ichigo ichie(一期一会), and methods for enjoying Matcha in the tea room.
 The goal is to deepen your understanding of the meanings embedded in each movement of the Tea ceremony.

3. Experience the spirit of Omotenashi in Japanese Tea ceremony
 After hearing about the spirit of Omotenashi(おもてなし) in Japanese Tea ceremony, you will pair up in groups of two to create Matcha with heartfelt consideration for each other.
 Additionally, you will have time to enjoy the tea prepared by your partner in accordance with traditional tea Ceremony etiquette.

4. Deepen your understanding of the core spirit of Tea ceremony
 You will have the opportunity to learn from the teachings of Sen no Rikyu(千利休), who symbolizes the essence of Japanese Tea Ceremony through the guidance of the Tea Master. 
 Additionally, you will have time to contemplate methods for effectively inheriting the core spirit of Japanese Tea Ceremony into business setting and cultivating mindfulness in daily life.

※At Yumeyakata Gojo shop, after selecting and dressing in your kimono, please proceed to Yumeyakata Oikebettei(Tea house) by taxi or subway.
 The cost of transportation is not included in the fee.
[About luggage] We keep your clothes and small items (e.g. handbag, small backpack) for free. For bigger items (e.g. suitcase), a fee of 550yen per item applies.
Please return the entire rental attire set by 17:30 to Yumeyakata Gojo Shop on the same day.
You can also return everything by 17:00 the next day to our store for an extra 1,100/person. (We do not provide hotel return service.) Please let us know which you prefer at the reception upon your arrival.
※The returning time changes due to the the company training, New Year's Holiday...etc. Please refer to the homepage announcement.
※We have many kinds of hair accessories for sale but we don't provide any for rent.
※The order of kimono dressing and hair styling may vary depending on the reservation schedule for the day. To ensure your styled hair remains intact, please wear a front-opening garment when you arrive.
