Itinéraire de base
-Start the introduction and invite Maiko or Geiko to the stage
-Enjoy two traditional dance performances
-The English-speaking staff will acquaint you with a brief background information and explanation about her attire
-Next you will be able to ask questions and chat with the Maiko
-To follow, we have 10-15 minutes dedicated to taking pictures with her
-As you depart you will be provided with a small gift with the opportunity to shop for high-quality Japanese goods right after the show at the Kyoto Handicraft Center.

Go to the Kyoto Handicraft Center (West Building).
On the first floor take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Look for a "MEET MAIKO" welcome sign.
●Know before you go
-This is not a private plan. You will join with other guests.
-Reception opens 30 minutes prior to show time.
-Arrive at the venue at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the show.
-Seats are free seats and all participants can be seated.
-In case you arrive late, you can still enter during the event.
-Taxis are difficult to catch in Kyoto during high season, and city buses are crowded. Please allow plenty of time for your visit.
-Photography is allowed during the event.
-Children aged 0-2 can join this activity free of charge provided they will not occupy separate seats.

10 minutes walk from Jingu Marutamachi Station on the Keihan main line
15 minutes walk from Higashiyama Station on the Subway Tozai Line
※There is also a Marutamachi Station on the Kyoto Subway Karasuma Line. Please take care not to confuse them.
■ For customers arriving by City Bus:
From the JR, Kintetsu and Kyoto Subway Station
In front of Kyoto Station at Terminal 2, ride bus 206 headed towards Higashiyama-Dori Kita-oji Terminal for 30 minutes. Alight at Kumano-Jinja-Mae. From there, it is a 3 minute walk.
From Shijo Kawaramachi take one of the following:
●Number 31 to Higashiyamadori-Takano Iwakura
●Number 201 to Gion, Hyakumanben
●Number 203 to Gion, Kinrin-Syako
Ride for approximately 10 minutes, then alight at Kumano-Jinja-Mae. From there, it is a 3 minute walk.

Kyoto Handicraft Center -opened in 1967-, consisting of two buildings, the East Wing and the West Wing, is a commercial facility where you can enjoy tax-free shopping, dining, and a variety of cultural and craft experiences all in one place.
The shopping floors, spread over four floors in total, offer a wide range of products such as kimonos, yukata, arts and crafts, traditional crafts, Japanese gifts and souvenirs, all of which are available for tax-free shopping.
