The Tokyo Tower was built in 1958.
At 333 meters, Tokyo Tower was the tallest structure in the world, surpassing the Eiffel Tower in Paris at that time. It was built as a ‘comprehensive radio tower’ to unite the crowded radio towers.
Since its completion, it has been a popular tourist attraction visited by over 180 million people all over the world. Located in the center of the city, the panoramic observatory provides visitors the great view of Tokyo which changes with the seasons.
