This is a unique winter experience in Hokkaido, where you can ride a fat bike on a frozen lake!
Taushubetsu Bridge is one of the concrete-made arch bridges spotted around Mukabira Onsenkyo, a part of the old govenment-owned railways "Kamishihoro Line".
It was selected as one of the first Hokkaido Heritage and its arch-shape is characteristic.
This bridge is across Lake Nukabira and repeats going up and down from the lake surface.
You can cross over the frozen Lake Nukabira with snow shoe.
This is the experience you can do only for about 1 month in winter.
Fat bike is the experience you can do only in winter Hokkaido, which is done on the frozen lake.
Even the temperature is low, once you can get on to a fat bike and run, you feel warm.
The wind while running with a fat bike is invaluable!

7:00 Meet at Obihiro Station and move to Higashitaisetsu Nature center
8:30-9:00 Briefing at Higashitaisetsu Nature center
9:30-12:00 Snowshoe activity
12:30-13:30 Lunch at a restaurant
14:00-16:00 Fat bike activity
16:30-17:00 Finish and move to Obihiro Station
18:30 Finish at Obihiro Station

As for clothing, warm knitwear, ski wear, sunglasses, gloves, and goggles are appropriate. A pocket warmer and camera are also recommended.
Please be aware of the phenomenon of thinning and holes in the frozen lake surface caused by gases emanating from the bottom of the lake. If snow piles up on top of them, they may fall into the water without noticing the hole.
Rates are for one person when there are two people. Prices vary depending on the number of participants.
